About the Speaker: Graduated from college with a degree in elementary education and minor in history. She attended graduate school at the Citadel and was 6 hours short of her degree in administration before leaving to go overseas to teach with the Defense Department in Japan and Germany.  Then after 18 years of teaching in several countries and the U.S., she began working in her husband’s oral surgery office in 1988, and began to learn and understand the field of oral surgery. She learned medical authorization, billing and codes through trial and error.  Margaret worked with a multiple doctor practice and medical /dental patients for the past 25 years.
