Mr. Ken Gladstone
Streamlining Lab/Client Workflow and Communication
Streamlining Lab/Client Workflow and Communication
This course aims to streamline your workflow and the communication and record sharing between your lab and your clients, using some of the tools in Dolphin Imaging software as an example. The course will first briefly review record gathering in Dolphin – importing 2D photos and x-rays, 3D DICOM data, 3D photo surface data, digital study model data, etc. Then it will briefly review case workup in Dolphin – airway analysis, TMJ studies, nerve canal marking, ceph and pan generation, etc.
But the primary focus of the course will be on what to do with the case once it has been worked-up in Dolphin. It will cover custom report design, and automated report generation, for creating reports that quickly convey pertinent info to referring doctors, patients, and parents. It will compare simply providing a report PDF vs. providing a full patient archive. It will cover how a clean and thorough case workup and report can improve a lab’s reputation with referring doctors and with patients; how it can streamline communication between the lab and the referring doctors; and how it can assist in patient education, and in the patient’s treatment acceptance. And finally, it will cover record sharing and viewing, via AnywhereDolphin, and via the Dolphin Free Viewer.
